Yesterday evening HTC announced officially on their blog that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update is coming soon to a whole list of HTC phones.

From the time Android announced ICS, phone manufacturers are trying extremely hard to bring the sandwiched ice cream version to each of their supportive phone models in order to compete with the likes of Nexus & Galaxies.

HTC Android Ice Cream Sandwich Updates

HTC has decided to show it’s power by announcing this Android 4.0 ICS update to about 16 different devices. Though it has said that the two Sensation  phones will be the first one’s to taste the cream of ICS. Here is a small quote of what HTC had written,

As for timing, we’re in the early stages of rolling out Android 4.0 for the HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XE and upgrades will be more widely available in the next few weeks. The update for the HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XL will follow.

So it’s crystal clear that the updates will be rolled out gradually and at different periods in each country (as it depends on the network operators as well).

The list of HTC devices which will get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich updates are as follows:
