Google has almost doubled the no. of tittles for its upcoming Stadia cloud gaming service, says a tweet put up by Phil Harrison, the Vice President of Google. The service, which was originally expected to launch with only 12 titles, will now have 10 more games. This brings the overall total to 22 titles. The list of titles now includes games like NBA 2K2020, Metro Exodus, Rage 2, Final Fantasy XV, Football Manager 2020, among others, offering Stadia a few sports titles that were missing previously.
Google had experienced some heat initially when it announced launch of just 12 games, considering that it’s rival Microsoft is introducing xCloud preview that comprises of more than 50 game titles. In the tweet, Harrison explained that the Stadia team was perhaps a bit conservative during its forecast previous week. But now, Google Stadia’s partners have done an amazing job by offering more titles, he added.
Keeping in mind the list consisting of missing launch info and other features unveiled during one Reddit AMA, the addition of more titles could prove to offer some good news for Stadia. Google further said that the game series ‘Samurai Shodown’ would join Destiny 2 completely free-of-cost on Stadia, which is all set to launch on 19 November.
