Pokemon Legends Arceus drops today, that is – January 28 and we cannot be excited enough! Reports suggest that the game is available for download from the Nintendo Switch game store. You can also get a physical copy from your nearest store. Well, the game’s leak three days ahead of release had gotten us a little worried regarding the official release. However, several fans across the internet and worldwide have tried the game out after the official release and are extremely happy with the game’s first look!
Why do we need to change the time of day in the game?
As it happens, the lore and previous Pokemon titles certain time-exclusive Pokemon evolutions. A day-exclusive Pokemon evolution can only happen during the day time and a night-exclusive one can only occur at night. However, this mechanic hasn’t yet been confirmed for Pokemon Legends Arceus. We do know that the game will feature certain Pokemons which are known to evolve only during certain times of the day. For example, Legends Arceus will be featuring Eevee which, according to the lore, has two evolutions depending on the time of day. We haven’t had the privilege of trying the game out yet. But, if we were to guess, Legends Arceus will most probably be featuring day and night exclusive evolutions. And if so, we will need to wait for certain times of the day for certain evolutions.

How to change the time of day in Pokemon Legends Arceus?
According to reports, you have an option to put your trainer character to sleep at a base camp until the time of day changes to a desirable one. You can choose to sleep for a short period of time or continue sleeping until morning/night strikes. This also means that Legends Arceus will not be following real world day and night cycles.
