The Survival RPG game, Medieval Dynasty involves hunting, surviving, and building tasks in the contrast of Middle age centuries. You can create your own Medieval dynasty by building and maintaining your area. It is a combination of various games from Survival to building, hunting, and even farming. It can be also categorized as a simulation-type game. Sometimes the progress of the game is lost and you have to restart the game from the start. To avoid that you will need to back up your save file. But first, let’s find your save file.
Save file location
Some games have their save files located deep inside folders and with random names – these can be hard to find for users. However, it is mostly found in the ‘AppData‘ folder. To navigate to that folder go to C drive, click on users and click on the username. Then select Appdata. Sometimes the AppData folder may be hidden. In that case, click the Show hidden files option and you will be able to see it. After that go to local and select Medieval dynasty. In the game, the folder finds the saved folder and you will find savedgames there where the file is present.
Some players are unable to find the right version or keep playing the early access version. This might help them access the updated version.
Sometimes the game gets automatically saved on the steam cloud which needs to be accessed through steam. To do this Go to Steam, then Library, and Right Click on Medieval Dynasty. In the Properties tab, click on “Steam Cloud” and ensure that it is checked. The Steam cloud storage panel shows how much data you have saved, in MB.
Another method is to press the Windows key and R, a Run dialog box is opened. Then copy-paste or type this in the Run box: ‘%LOCALAPPDATA%\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\SaveGames‘. Then click on Run and you will be directed to the folder containing all the saved files.
Backup Medieval dynasty data
The maximum save files are numbered from Save000 to Save099. To save the game and backup your data Copy and Paste this into your File Explorer.” C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Medieval_Dynasty” Or “C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\SaveGames“.
Also, keep in mind that Quicksave will replace the latest save file when you press F5.
Therefore, it is recommended to create a new save at some point during the game, so that if something goes wrong you are close to solving the problem. We recommend that you always save manually, and load your saved game when it is necessary. Do not depend on Autosave all the time.
