Way of the Hunter Crossplay Details & more
Way of the Hunter is currently available on three platforms as of now. These platforms include the PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series X and the Windows PC. Thankfully, the co-op mode is available on all three platforms. However, the bad news is that the Way of the Hunter does not support crossplay as of now. That means if you have a PS5 and you want to go on a hunt with your friend who has got an Xbox, you will be unable to do so. The developers are not in the mood to release the cross-play mode in the future too as they are already working on fixing other problems.
There can be many reasons for the lack of crossplay support among different platforms. However, no strong reason is in the air from the devs. Players using platforms like PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch won’t even get to play the game. However, the supported platforms feature different versions of the game with slight differences. For example, Xbox Series X/S can only contain 2 players in the Co-op mode. Meanwhile, the limit for PS5 is 3 and for PC it is 4 players. Therefore, different platforms have slightly different mechanics compared to each other.
