The PC gaming community spends thousands of dollars to build their dream rigs. Even a decent graphics card requires you to put in your hard-earned money for getting respectable performance in any game. However, there is no point in having a good setup if you still get Low FPS & stuttering issues while playing a next-gen game like Spiderman Remastered. Therefore, it becomes necessary to get over these issues to unlock the full potential your setup can deliver. Let’s have a look at the fixes that’ll help you with this problem.

1) Turn off V-sync, Raytracing and DLSS:

Open the Steam library and click on the Play button of the game. Now, the launcher will appear. Here, go to the Settings of the game and uncheck the Ray-traced reflections option. Now, go to the Display Section and turn off V-sync. After this, launch the game.

2) Disable the hyperthreading or SMT for AMD and HT for Intel in your BIOS:

Go to your System BIOS where you will find the SMT and HT settings for your respective CPUs. Turn off or disable these settings. If you can turn off the hyperthreading option, that might also fix the problem.

3) Disable full-screen optimization for the game:

Go to the local files of the game by selecting the Browse local files option in the Manage function on Steam. Once you get there, search for the Spider-Man.exe file and right-click on it. Now, select Properties. After this, go to the Compatibility tab and check the box that says Disable Fullscreen Optimizations. You can also select the Exclusive Fullscreen option instead of the Fullscreen option. Just go to the Display Options of the game on Steam to find it.

4) Disconnect multiple monitors and other unnecessary peripherals:

Try disconnecting all the peripherals that are not necessary at the moment and running the game without them.

5) Update Windows:

Updating all the pending Windows updates can also boost the performance of your PC resulting in better FPS.

6) Disable Steam overlay:

Go to the General Settings of the game where you will see the “Enable the Steam Overlay while in the game” option. Uncheck it and try to run your game again.

7) Use a wired controller:

If you have a wired controller, try to use it instead of the mouse and keyboard setup. This might also improve your FPS.

8) Restart the game:

Try closing the game and opening it again. Sometimes temporary bugs go away with this simple trick.

9) Turn off overclocking applications and remove undervolting:

Turn off any application that is tweaking your PC’s processing speed whether with the GPU or the processor. Also, make sure to disable the undervolting option as well.

10) Try Windowed mode:

Try running the game in Windowed mode for once and see if the FPS becomes constant. Lower any graphics settings that might be too heavy for your PC to handle.

11) Run the game on your dedicated graphics card: Turn off the integrated graphics via the Device Manager. Once the game starts with the dedicated graphics card, enable it again.

12) Restart your PC:

Close all the applications and restart your PC. Try and apply the other fixes and see if they work. Restart your PC after applying every fix.

After following these fixes, you will see a significant rise in the FPS and fewer stuttering issues. Although if the problem persists, wait for the next patch which may bring better optimization to the game. Till then, you can visit Androidgram for updates and fixes on the latest games and tech.
