Soar high in the Sky, fight through the darkness of the Depths, or explore the different biomes on the Surface; The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK) has it all. Its prequel, Breath of the Wild, was single-layered with only the Surface region of Hyrule. ToTK moved up a notch by introducing two other layers that sandwich the Surface layer: The Great Skies and the Depths. With so much leveraged exploration, it might be a hassle for some to collect their favorite pieces of armor. If you’re desperately looking for the Skyward Sword Set in Zelda: ToTK, today is your lucky day, as this article will guide you to all three pieces of the armor set.
Armor pieces in Zelda: ToTK provide damage negation, as one would expect. Additional benefits of acquiring different armor are the various passives that each armor gets and, of course, the style. As you keep upgrading your armor pieces, you unlock set bonuses for rocking an entire armor set. The Skyward Sword Set, or the Sky Armor Set, is a classic armor set that first made its appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword; however, it doesn’t offer any bonuses when worn. But where do you find the set? No worries, as all the details are shared below.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK): How To Get and Find Skyward Sword Set
According to the item description of the set, the armor pieces of the Skyward Sword Set belong to a hero who made his appearance from the sky while riding a mighty bird, thereby (possibly) hinting at Link and his Loftwing bird in Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Each armor piece of the Skyward Sword Set offers 3 base defenses. Although the Skyward Sword Set does not provide additional passives or bonuses, fans still want to acquire it for the nostalgia factor and to add it to their armor collection. Finding all three pieces of armor is tricky, as they are scattered in different locations. It is ironic that the outfit, despite having “Sky” written on it, is located in the Depths. The set consists of 3 pieces: Trousers of the Sky leg gear, Cap of the Sky helm, and Tunic of the Sky chest piece.
Trousers of the Sky
You need to start at the East Hill Chasm. The East Hill Chasm is located beside the Ring Ruins in the northern region of Necluda, to the northeast of West Necluda. Here are the coordinates for the East Hill Chasm (1974, -0846, 0116). Hop down into the chasm to reach the Depths. You will end up near the Abandoned Kakariko Mine (1767, -1179, -0629).
Instead of heading towards the mine, head west, keeping the Kakariko mine to your left. Follow the course of the winding path, and you should arrive at Korakut Lightroot (0916, -0252, -0502). Unlock the Lightroot if you haven’t already to unlock fast travel. If you’ve found this Lightroot, you’re heading in the right direction. Keep walking north while evading the Blue-White Frox boss right next to the Korakut Lightroot. You should come across the Nojoj Lightroot (1201, 0330, -0595).
Head a bit north toward the cliff, and you will arrive at the Crenel Canyon Mine. Glide to the other side of the canyon, and you should see a treasure chest containing the Trousers of the Sky. Here are the coordinates to the treasure chest (1165, 0426, -0580).
Cap of the Sky
You need to start at the Meda Mountain Chasm for the fastest route to the Cap of the Sky helm. There are a couple of ways to reach this chasm. The quickest route is to fast travel to the Tokiy Shrine (2304, -2378, -0015) and head directly east from the shrine. The second way to reach the chasm is to visit the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower (2420, -2755, 0216) and paraglide to the Meda Mountain Chasm, which is located beyond the Koto Pond. Once you reach the chasm, head down into the Depths. The coordinates to the Meda Mountain Chasm are (2515, -2381, 0131).
In the Depths, head east towards the Abandoned Hateno Mine (3527, -2185, -0588). In your journey, you might come across a boss. This time, it’s a Stalnox. Run past him (or defeat him as per your wish), and you should arrive at the Kimnaz Lightroot (3470, -2182, -0615). To the northeast of Kimnaz Lightroot, you will find the Kisihayam Lightroot (3728, -2059, -0685).
At the Kisihayam Lightroot, face in the direction of the two trees, sprint in between them towards the rocky cliff, and climb to the top. If you don’t have enough stamina, you can use Endura Carrot recipes to raise your maximum stamina. Read this article on how to get Endura Carrots.
When you’re at the top, turn right and walk a few paces until you come across a walking hostile tree covered in red gloom. This location is called Retsam Grove, East Necluda Depths. Run past the tree towards the large cone-shaped, pointy, broken tree trunks. There should be an enormous tree stump encircling a treasure chest. Here are the coordinates to the treasure chest (3822, -1985, -0632). Claim the chest, and you will acquire the Cap of the Sky helm.
Tunic of the Sky
Great, now you only have one more piece to get. Head to the Minshi Woods Chasm, located to the northeast of Central Hyrule before the entrance of the Great Hyrule Forest. The easiest way to reach this chasm is to walk north of the Ekochiu Shrine (1063, 1280, 0060).
Hop down into the Chasm to reach the Depths. However, this time, don’t land straight on the ground. Instead, when you reach the Depths but are still in the air, open your paraglider and glide south. Eventually, you should arrive at Minshi Grove. From there, look for the large tree stump encircling a treasure chest (like the one you came across while searching for the Cap of the Sky). Here are the coordinates to the treasure chest (1021, 1408, -0543).
