If you are a fan of the Assassin’s Creed series, you are no doubt familiar with its sometimes mundane RPG fetch quests. There are always side quests that require you to go, find, and return items for an NPC. This is called a fetch quest. So, why are we talking about them, you ask? Well, once you complete them, like the Artifacts quest provided by Dervis in Assassins Creed: Mirage, you earn upgrade materials including leather. However, there is an issue in the game where the Return Artifacts option is grayed out when interacting with Dervis.

Assassin’s Creed (AC) Mirage Artifacts Grayed Out Issue: Is there any fix yet?
There are multiple fetch quests in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage. One of them is given by Dervis. For this quest, you have to find, pickpocket, and return artifacts to him. To collect these artifacts, you will have to meet some conditions.
What conditions?
The conditions associated with this quest are mainly related to pickpocketing. These are;
- You have to be in a non-combative state and blend with the crowd.
- You have to pickpocket NPCs with a yellow icon over their heads. This will indicate that they are in possession of an artifact.
- You have to return a set number of artifacts to Dervis when you go visit him. First, he will ask for three artifacts, then six, and then nine.
Once you meet these conditions, you can return the artifacts to him and claim your reward. This is also where most of the players find themselves stuck. Since there is a minimum number of artifacts required, the option appears to be grayed out. This is intentional on the part of the developers and not a bug or glitch in the game.
How many Artifacts do you need to return?
The simple answer to this question is 18. These are the total number of artifacts you have to return to Dervis to complete the entire quest and get the Curio Collector achievement/trophy. Unfortunately, you cannot return them one at a time. You have to bring them in sets of three, six, and nine consecutively. This makes your job of collecting them and keeping them safe much harder considering the fact that these 18 artifacts are scattered well in the in-game world, so you will be spending quite some in search of them.
