My Time at Sandrock Aluminum Scrap: How to get & find
Prerequisites
Before heading to the main area to find and get Aluminium Scrap, make sure that you have these two items:
- Protective Suit x1
- Iron Pickhammer x1

In short, the protective suit will protect you from toxic gas, while the iron pickhammer is for mining the scrap. You can also craft a better one, for example, a chromium pickhammer. But that will require a good amount of grinding. For the time being, Iron Pickhammer should be more than enough.
The Whispering Valley
If you have read our recent guide on how to get Granite in the game, then you are already well aware of what this place is. Well, if you haven’t, then here’s a quick note: This place is filled with scraps, ores, and a toxic green fog. This fog will deal 50 continuous damage per second, and that’s why, before going here, you need a protective suit. So just wear it, and then head to the valley. Now look for things that resemble a pot, pan, or soda can. These items are scattered around the valley, just like the ores. So take out your iron pickhammer and start hitting these pot-looking things. Now you should get two or more aluminum scraps along with a few dregs. If you are lucky, then it can also drop magnesium alloy.
Where should you use the aluminum scraps?
Aluminum scraps must be recycled for the resources that you will actually need. When recycled, there is a possibility that they will provide these resources:
- Aluminum Alloy Plate x 1 (50% chance)
- Magnesium Aluminum Alloy x 1-2 (100% chance)
- Dregs x 3-4 (100% chance)
Recycling each scrap grants 60 exp points and also increases proficiency for your civil recycler by 5 points. Not too shabby, but that’s not all. Do you remember about gifting? Well, you can gift this resource to the following NPCs and gain a +2 Neutral Relationship stat:
- CoCo
- Rocky
- Unsuur
- Wei
Well, if you gift it to any other NPC, then your relationship with them will receive 2 dislike points. So, make sure you do your research before handing it over to any of the NPCs.
