Despite being a huge game that requires powerful hardware, Horizon Forbidden West runs quite well on the Steam Deck. Although as of now, it is not listed as either Playable or Verified, player reports have made it clear that the game runs out of the box without having to tinker with the settings. You can get an average of 25-30 FPS in the game with low settings, and considering that the Deck has entry-level hardware, it is quite acceptable. You can even lower the in-game resolution to 768p to get more FPS but the visuals will take a hit.
Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go
Similar to the Deck, the Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go can run Horizon Forbidden West quite well. Since both of these handhelds have slightly powerful hardware when compared to the Deck, they can run the game at a much higher FPS, in the range of 30-40 on average.
