As per the official DokeV website, the game is described as a “creature-collecting open-world action-adventure filled with intriguing stories” game. Currently being developed by Pearl Abyss, a studio best known for its famous game, Black Desert Online, it is interesting to see that the developers went for a different approach with their new title. Well, Changkee Nam, one of the designers of the Black Desert combat system and now the game designer of DokeV stated that the game is targeted to be family-friendly along with features that will attract core gamers as well.
However, it seems like a calculated risk that the devs are willing to take while introducing a totally different genre. So, now the ultimate question is, does DokeV feature multiplayer mode? Well, not quite.
DokeV: Multiplayer mode?
The devs have clarified that despite DokeV being initially introduced as an MMO title, they eventually decided to move the game in a different direction and it’s now a creature-collecting open-world action-adventure featuring single-player mode.
But that’s not it. In an interview with Jeuxonline, the founder of Pearl Abyss Daeil Kim stated that the game will primarily be featuring a solo experience via the main scenario but will include cooperative multiplayer elements as well. Also, competitive multiplayer is also available in DokeV. However, for the PvP fans, we don’t think that the devs will be implementing PvP mode in the game anytime soon. Currently, they are developing ideas for friendly competitions which might include PvP mode as well but we don’t know for sure. More information will be provided as the release date approaches.
DokeV: Release Date
As of now, we don’t have any information about DokeV’s release date. All we know is that the testing period has now been removed so we might get to see the BETA version of the game soon. We will be updating the article as more information is revealed.
