The popularity of Albion Online is quite massive when you consider that it made its debut back in 2017. Even now, it is still relevant, with over 14K concurrent players enjoying it. The recent surge in popularity of the game is due to the various updates that the developers have released. Although there doesn’t seem to be an official fix for this issue, there are a few potential workarounds that have fixed the problem for many. A moderator of Albion Online’s official forum has also shared a few fixes for this issue, so we have included them as well:

1) Restart

This is a very simple yet essential workaround to try. If you encounter the error code 30005 after launching Albion Online, restart your PC and then check if the issue persists. If it does, try the next workaround.

2) Remove any conflicting software

The anti-cheat might be blocking your access to the game because conflicting software or programs are running in the background. So, to make sure this isn’t the case, you should access your Task Manager, and end the processes of any programs. The issue can occur if you are using any virtualization software on your system such as Docker. After this, launch the game.

3) Delete EasyAntiCheat.sys file

For this workaround, you will have to head over to the following path: C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat. Here, find the EasyAntiCheat.sys file and then right-click on it. Now, select Delete. Once deleted, launch the game to check if the issue persists. If you are unable to delete the .sys file, then open the Task Manager, and head over to the Processes tab. Here, delete the process of all programs related to Steam and Easy Anti-Cheat. Once done, try deleting the file again.

4) Disable “KERNAL-MODE HARDWARE-ENFORCED STACK PROTECTION

If the issue persists even after deleting the .sys file, here’s what you can do:

  • Go to Windows Settings, and select Privacy and Security.
  • After this, select the Windows Security Option, then Device Security.
  • Now, click on Core Isolation and make sure to disable the KERNAL-MODE HARDWARE-ENFORCED STACK PROTECTION option.
  • Once done, restart your PC, and then launch the game.

5) Repair EAC

If the anticheat program gets corrupted, this issue might occur. So, you can fix this by repairing or reinstalling the EAC program. Doing so is quite simple. All you need to do is head over to the game’s installation directory and find the EasyAntiCheat folder. Here, find the EasyAntiCheatSetup.exe file and launch it. Now, you can either select Repair or Uninstall. Once selected, let the program run its course. After this, launch the game and check whether the issue persists.

6) Use the Albion Launcher

If you are using Steam to launch Albion Online and encountering this error code, we suggest that you uninstall the game via Steam and install it via the official Albion launcher. Head over here to download the Albion Launcher.

7) Add game and EAC to the exclusion list of your Antivirus program

It is possible that your system’s antivirus is blocking the game’s as well as EAC’s functioning, due to which the error code is occurring. So, we suggest that you access your antivirus program’s settings and then add Albion Online’s .exe file as well as EAC’s .exe file to the exclusion list. After this, launch the game to check if the issue persists. If it does, you can try disabling the antivirus program and then launching the game. But don’t forget to enable it after you are done playing.

8) 64-bit system requirement

If you didn’t already know, Albion Online is compatible with the 64-bit operating system. So, if you have a system with a 32-bit operating system, you won’t be able to run the game. To fix this, you will have to upgrade your system and then install Albion Online.

9) Verify Integrity of game files (Steam)

A workaround that’s useful in fixing the majority of the error codes in games is none other than the Steam File Integrity check. Corrupted files can often result in issues, including this error code, which is why we recommend that you perform a file integrity check. To do this, go to Steam, open Library, and right-click on Albion Online. Now, select Properties, and head over to the Installed Files tab. Here, select the Verify Integrity of Game Files option and then wait for the scan to be completed. Once done, launch the game to check if the issue persists.

10) Run a malware scan

As suggested by a moderator on the game’s forum, you should run a malware check on your system to identify whether the issue is a result of any malware. So, either use Windows Defender or a third-party antivirus program to run a scan and then launch the game.

11) Reinstall

At last, if none of the workarounds are of any help, consider reinstalling the game, as it is the only workaround left for you to try. A fresh installation might do the trick in fixing the error code 30005 in Albion Online.

Well, these are all the workarounds worth trying if you are encountering the error code 30005 in Albion Online. We hope that you find this guide informative. If you did, consider visiting Android Gram for more such content on all things gaming.
