How to tame them?
Raptors in Ark Survival Ascended are simple knockout tames. Since you are unlikely to have any real kibble this early in the game, you will have to stick to using meat to tame them. The ideal way to tame them is to separate them from the pack, choose the level you want to tame, and then shoot a bola at them. Once its mobility is restricted, use a tranq arrow with a crossbow and knock it out. Clubs and slingshots will also work for lower levels. Tips and tricks for the tame?
Well, since you can trap raptors quite early during your in-game journey, you don’t really need a trap or anything. If you have a decently strong tame already, you can just fight the pack and isolate the one you want to tame. If you don’t, you will have to get creative with the bolas and kill the ones you don’t want. Once you have it stuck, you can tame it pretty easily. While you can ideally stand on a rock or a larger tame (with a lot of health and passive) and shoot them, you want to get them stuck when they start running away. When their torpor is high and they are going to get knocked out, they typically start running away from you. This is the time when you want them to be stuck so that they can’t run away, even if they want to.
