Almost 7 months after the initial release of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, the game made its way to Steam. Earlier, on PC, it was accessible only through the Epic Games Launcher and Ubisoft Connect, but now, Steam users can also dive in on the fun. Now that the game is available on Steam, it is obvious that many players will wonder about its Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go compatibility details. So, if you are among the many players wondering the same thing, consider reading until the end.
Even when Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was not available via Steam on PC, the curiosity of players wondering whether the game would run on the Deck was not at rest. Unlike Steam, the Epic Games Store or Ubisoft Connect don’t offer any Discussion forums integrated into the client, which is why many took to Reddit to discuss the same. Now, if you didn’t already know, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora did indeed run on the Steam Deck, even when it wasn’t available on Steam, but the game’s performance was awful. But what about now? Is the performance better on the Deck after the release of the Steam version? And what about its performance on the Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go now? Continue reading to learn everything.

Steam Deck
Given the fact that Avatar Frontiers of Pandora just debuted on Steam on June 17, 2024, there is no official confirmation about its compatibility with the Steam Deck. It is not listed as a Playable or Verified title for the Deck, as of now. But you already know that it runs on the handheld even without any official support. That’s the nature of most Ubisoft games. However, the issue here is that the game’s performance on the Deck is not satisfactory at all. Player reports and various gameplay videos online featuring the Epic Games/Ubisoft Connect version of the game running on Deck showcase the FPS in-game to be close to 15-20 (even on the lowest quality preset). For an open-world action adventure, that’s awfully low. So, unless the developers offer proper Steam Deck support for the game or optimize it further, you will have to make do with the current state of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on the Steam Deck.
Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go
Now, when it comes to the Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go, the performance of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on these devices will be slightly better when compared to the Deck, as they pack slightly more powerful hardware. With the right settings, you should be getting somewhere near 20–30 FPS without compromising visuals much. But if you want more FPS, then by setting the in-game resolution to 720P, enabling AMD FSR3 upscaler, and setting it to Performance along with Frame Generation enabled, you can get close to 50 FPS in-game. Yes, that’s a huge boost but doing so will degrade the in-game visuals significantly. Also, don’t forget to set the Rog Ally to Performance mode. Here’s a gameplay video featuring the in-game FPS on an Asus Rog Ally:
And since the Legion Go offers similar hardware specifications when compared to the Rog Ally, you’d be getting more or less the same FPS in-game on the device while running Avatar Frontiers of Pandora.
With that said, now you know all about the Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go support details of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. If you find this article informative, consider visiting Android Gram for more such content on all things gaming.
