If you want to experience life from a very different perspective, Bum Simulator is the title you should go for. It is a single-player experience that has been in early access for quite some time. Now that the game is officially out of the early access program, and globally released, fans of the title have flooded the game’s discussion forum, asking the developers about the release of a multiplayer mode. Although there hasn’t been any recent response from them, we are here to share some insights on the same. So, consider reading till the end.
2023 has been great so far, with the release of new and exciting titles. To name a few, we’ve got Star Wars Jedi Survivor, TLoZ: Tears of the Kingdom, Redfall, and many more. Well, these are major releases from AAA as well as indie studios. However, the list doesn’t end here. Many early access titles got their global release as well, including Darkest Dungeon 2, and Bum Simulator. But did you notice something? Not all games feature multiplayer modes. In today’s era, multiplayer is something that every player craves as such modes allow them to play with their friends. But, unlike most games, Bum Simulator doesn’t feature a multiplayer mode, at least right now. This has fans anticipating the release of such a mode, and we are here to discuss the same.

Bum Simulator Multiplayer/Co-op Mode Release Date: When is it coming out
As we said, Bum Simulator has been in the early access period for quite some time, and during this period, the devs usually take feedback from the players to know what features they can add or remove to improve the overall experience of the game. As such, back in 2018, players did raise their queries regarding the implementation of a multiplayer mode in the game, to which a response was made:
Currently we concentrate on a single player mode and we will probably release the game without multiplayer. However, due to the popular demand, we’re investigating how to implement coop after the initial release.
Although we are not quite sure whether the response was from a developer or not, the player who posted the topic marked it as the answer. So, this can mean that the response was in fact from a credible source.
Anyway, from the response, what we can deduce is that the idea of implementing a multiplayer mode in the game is indeed a possibility, but the chances are low. Why? Well, the response was made back in 2018, and it clearly stated that the team is investigating to implement co-op after the game’s release. So, now that it has been released out of its early access phase, there haven’t been any updates on this matter.
With the recent out-of-early-access release of the game, the devs added new content, including missions, new Alco-Power, some improved QoL features, bug fixes, etc., but there wasn’t any mention of a multiplayer mode. So, this might mean that they are not focusing on bringing it to the game. Also, if you didn’t know, Bum Simulator VR is coming, which makes it quite obvious that the devs are currently focused on this new project, instead of bringing multiplayer.
However, before you decide to ignore this title for the foreseeable future, do note that this is just speculation from our side and not any confirmed update.
