There are a plethora of ways to make money in Coral Island. You can fish, or go spend some time in the mines, or just farm and sell the produce. Different income streams require different levels of effort. For some, you need to actively go out there and do work to make money, while others make money for you passively, with you only needing to do the bare minimum. Obviously, players want to ensure that they set up as many of these ‘passive income’ sources as possible. One of these is the dehydrator. But how does one get a dehydrator in Coral Island?
The Coral Island Dehydrator, as the name suggests, removes moisture from items. It allows players to produce hay, any dried ocean scavenge, and seaweed-based chips. Thus, it can be a very useful tool if you have a lot of ocean-scavenging items stocked up or make diving trips to the seafloor frequently. So, keep reading this guide until the end to find out how to get and use a Dehydrator in Coral Island.
Coral Island Dehydrator: How to get & use?
The item description in-game reads, “Removes the moisture from ocean loot such as oysters and scallops. Produces artisan goods“. In order to get a Dehydrator, you will first need to be at least diving level four. This is the bare minimum requirement to unlock the crafting recipe. Once you reach the required level, you will need to acquire the following ingredients:
- 30x Scrap
- 2x Silver Kelp Essence
- 5x Sea Salt
- 2x Bronze Bars
After getting these, go to the in-menu crafting and craft yourself a Dehydrator. Congratulations, now you are the proud owner of a fine piece of artisan equipment! But how do you actually use it?
You will want to set it down somewhere on the farm where it is easily accessible. Then, you will need to put in the respective ingredients and wait some time to make a specific item. For example, if you want to make 1 hay, you will need to put 2 fibers into the Dehydrator and wait 2 (in-game) hours. Or if you have one seaweed, you can put it in, wait 10 in-game hours, and you will get Seaweed Chips that can be sold or gifted. The full list of Dehydrator recipes can be found here.
