But unfortunately, players using Steam cannot go explode some caves with people on a PlayStation. Yes, this is a very weird situation and most people are disappointed because of it. Things get complicated because even though both Steam and Microsoft Store are on PC, cross-play with Xbox is only available for the Microsoft Store version of the game.
Now the more important question is, will the situation remain the same? Well, we hope it does not. Unfortunately, there has been no word from the developers on this matter. Well, the good news is that Deep Rock Galactic supports cross-gen cross-play. This means that PS4 and PS5 players can play the game together. This is a small consolation for many players.
