Diablo 4 is the latest addition to the Diablo franchise and has been quite successful. It is an open-world RPG that is considered the benchmark other RPGs should strive towards. Diablo 4 has you fight hordes of enemies to finally take down one of the toughest bosses in the franchise; Lilith. Unlike most recent game launches, it launched without any major bugs or glitches. This does not mean, however, that there are none in the game. The Diablo 4 Gore Soaked-Barricade Glitch is a particularly long-lasting problem that many have been facing. This is a glitch that stops you from progressing the story of the Fury Against Fate questline. If you have faced this bug and are looking for a solution, keep reading. In this article, we are going to take a look at this bug and see if there are any potential fixes for it.
Diablo 4 Gore-Soaked Barricade Bug: Is there any fix yet?
The Gore-Soaked Barricade bug takes place during the Fury Against Fate side quest. In this quest, you are required to kill cannibals in a dungeon along with Ealda and her companions. However, due to this bug, players are unable to interact with the NPC after they clear the dungeon, thereby restricting their progress. It makes one gate in the cave unbreakable, and you are left stuck in the cave trying to break it forever. This is a huge problem, and until an official fix is released, you are left only with workarounds.
Although there is no official information on why this bug occurs, there are some workarounds that have been able to fix the issue. Below, we have mentioned all the potential workarounds for this bug:
1) Set Background FPS to 1
This is a strategy that players have used to beat this glitch. In this strategy, you force the game to run at 1 FPS when in the background. You can do this via the in-game settings. Also, while you are doing so, consider setting an in-game FPS limit of 59. Once this is done, you enter the cave and speak to the NPC Ealda. Once you have started the dialogue, Alt+Tab out of the game and return when the dialogue is complete. When you return, make sure to Alt+Tab again and rejoin to make sure the gate and other structures are not loaded in. This will hopefully fix the bug.
2) Clearing all Nearby Events
Diablo 4 sometimes bugs out your quests when you start them without completing pending events. In order to solve this issue, you might want to consider clearing all nearby events. In order to do this, quit the quest via your journal, log out of Diablo 4, and restart the game. Then, complete all pending events and begin the quest afresh.
3) Log out, and log back in
To do this, start the quest and enter the cave without talking to the NPC. Now, go check the barricade’s health. If it has a health bar, it is bugged. Log out of the game and wait a few minutes before logging back in. Once done, check the health status again. If the barricade has no health meter, you can speak to the NPC and continue the quest.
4) Changing to World Tier 1
This has also apparently fixed the issue for some users. Go to the World Tier statue in the Overworld or change this from the main menu. Since this is essentially the difficulty toggle, set this to the lowest tier, World Tier 1. Now, start the quest again.
If none of these methods fix the issue, your next best bet is to contact official customer support to get additional assistance. Anyway, if you found this guide helpful, consider visiting Android Gram for more guides just like this.
