- Money
Once you have these essentials, you will be able to craft explosives and ammo easily. The merc you should use early in the game to help with crafting is Barry Unger. Other than this, mercs in games that have a high explosive stat are eligible as well. This is because they are the only ones you can use to craft ammo and explosives. If your mercs have average or below-average explosive stats, do not use them for this purpose.
