Lego Fortnite is a new mode of Fortnite that has recently been released. Unlike traditional Fortnite, this is not a battle royale. What is it? It’s a survival game. The basics remain the same: loot, build, and survive, but you are not actually fighting any players in this version of the game. Like the recent release of Fortnite Chapter 5 and its many issues, this Lego version of Fortnite has a few issues of its own. The most concerning one right now appears to be the matchmaking error that is preventing players from playing it.
Fortnite has been experiencing a boom recently since some of the changes to the game have brought older players back. This is a good thing because it allows the developers to refocus and understand what the community wants more of. This is also true for many of the game modes that have been added, including Lego Fortnite. How this will develop with time is something that remains to be seen. Will Fortnite make a resurgence, or will it once again die down and settle due to the various issues? Only time will tell. Anyway, coming back to the topic, if you are encountering matchmaking errors or are unable to load worlds in Lego Fortnite, consider reading this guide for workarounds.
LEGO Fortnite Unable to Load Your Worlds (Matchmaking Error) Issue: Is there any fix yet?
Lego Fortnite is an adventure/survival game set in the Fortnite universe. The characters are unmistakably Lego, but the gameplay is all core Fortnite. However, to play this mode, you will have to create a world of your own or join other player’s worlds.
What causes this issue?
It is very likely that the issue is essentially caused by the overloading of servers. As simple as that. It can be because of a number of reasons but the most probable cause seems to be the influx of new players in the game. The number of players logging in to try this mode out is causing the servers to have a little bit of an issue with loading and processing all the data. Since this is a server-side issue, there is little you can do on your end.
How to solve it?
Essentially, every player has to create a world to play the Lego Fortnite game mode. This can be a single-player world or a multiplayer world but it needs to be created nonetheless. This might be putting too much stress on the servers and it does not have enough resources to deal with the influx of players and information right now. This is an issue the developers and the company need to sort out, not the player. That being said, Epic Games is currently aware of the issue, so while an official fix is in the works, try these workarounds:
1). Spam Refresh/Try Again
The first option is to spam the refresh/try again button as soon as it appears. While typically this makes server issues worse, this time it is one of your only options. Doing so might eventually force the game to let your world load in. Once loaded, you can continue to play as you want to.
2). Wait
The only other solution is to wait this out. The servers will eventually stabilize or be upgraded and then there will be more room for them to load worlds in. This is going to take some time though so you will have to wait for a few days. If that is acceptable, this is by far the easiest option of the two.
