The Lower Deeps
To get this resource, all you need to do is head over to the Lower Deeps, which is the area right after you cross the Crystal Caverns. If you go deeper, then you will see actual trees that will also grant this wood. But for the time being, gather it through mushrooms, and that should be sufficient.
