Being a driver at Lyft, one really has to keep up with the requests that come up. You never know when that will be. Fixes for Lyft driver app no sound issue:
Check volume settings:
First and foremost, make sure that the volume settings on your device are set up properly. Press the volume button on your phone and turn up the volume for all of the services. Turning up the system volume should automatically remove your device from silent mode, but still check that as well to be sure. Now, check if you can hear the sounds on the Lyft driver app.
Turn off Bluetooth:
If you have a Bluetooth audio device connected to your phone, try disconnecting it. Check if disconnecting the Bluetooth devices fixes the sound problem on Lyft.
Check notification settings:
The steps to check notification settings for iOS and Android devices will be a bit different. First let’s take a look at the steps needed for an Android device – go to Settings > Apps & Notifications. There, select the Lyft app and setup the style of notification alert you would want from it. If you want to, set a different sound for it so you know when you receive a notification on the Lyft driver app.
Now to set up notifications for an iOS device go to Settings > Notifications. Under Notification Style, select the Lyft app. Now chose an alert style you would like when you receive a notification from the Lyft driver app so the sound is clear.
Update app:
Go to the store on your device and search for the Lyft app. Since the app is already installed on your device, there will be an option to update it instead of downloading it. But that is only if there is an update available. Tap on that option to install the update. After that, check if the sound issue for the Lyft driver app is solved.
