How to fix Minecraft Launcher not available in your account error (0x803F8001)?
Try the following fixes/workarounds:-
1) Perform a login reset.
This is the most basic troubleshooting step you can ever try! Click on the Profile icon in your Microsoft Store, select your account, and choose to Sign Out. Now, log back in with your credentials. Once done, check whether you are able to download Minecraft Launcher.
2) Make sure that your system recognizes the correct date and time.
Open System Settings > Date & time settings, and fix the date and time on your system – if incorrect. If you have wrongly selected a region where Minecraft Launcher is not available, you may see the 0x803F8001 error. Head over to the Language & region settings and check whether Region is set correctly.
3) Try running the Microsoft Store Troubleshooter.
Open System Settings and then go to Troubleshoot > Other Troubleshooters > Windows Store apps > Run. Follow on-screen instructions and let the troubleshooter run completely to detect problems.
4) Reset Microsoft Store data and cache using wsreset.
Open the Start Menu, look for Run, and open it. You can also press Windows and R keys at the same time to open the Run window. Type ‘wsreset‘ and hit Enter. Let the process complete – it will automatically open Microsoft Store when done.
5) Restart Microsoft Store Install, Windows Update, and Background Intelligence Services.
Open the Services app and look for the Microsoft Store Install service in the list. Double-click on it. Now, make sure that the Startup type is set to Automatic. If the service is stopped, make sure you click on Start (under Service Status) > Apply > OK. Close the window. With Microsoft Store Install service highlighted/selected and click on Restart the service on the top-left. Once done, perform the same restarting process with the Windows Update and Background Intelligence services.
6) Use the Windows Update Assistant to check for pending OS updates.
Windows updates can be notorious sometimes – users have complained of updates getting stuck and not showing up entirely. If you haven’t completed pending updates or are unable to update, Minecraft Launcher and Microsoft Store may malfunction and throw error codes like 0x803F8001. The best way to tackle this situation is to download the Windows Update Assistant. The Update Assistant will automatically detect all pending updates and complete them in the background.
7) Uninstall and Reinstall Microsoft Store.
Run Windows Powershell as administrator. Now, copy/paste the following command into the terminal and press the Enter Key:
Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage
Next, restart your PC. Once done, open Windows Powershell again as administrator. Type/copy-paste the following command and press the Enter key:
Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
Once completed, you can go ahead and open Microsoft Store and try installing the Minecraft launcher.
