NBA 2K22 controllers not working: How to fix it?
Now, the controller bug is not new to NBA 2K. Players of previous titles like NBA 2K21 and 2K20 have reported instances of the same issue. However, the issue was never addressed by developers. So, players came up with fixes of their own. While a few worked for a large number of peeps, some fixes worked only for the individuals who posted it. Also, whether it is a bug or just an incompatibility issue on the player’s side is still unknown as the developers never acknowledged the issue. We have listed all the fixes which worked for different peeps. Feel free to keep trying until it solves the problem for you. If your controller is glitched in NBA 2K22, do the following:
- Uninstall any vJoy drivers, if any. vJoy drivers have been reported to cause conflict with using controllers in NBA 2K22.
- Try using a wireless controller instead of a wired one. Many players reported that the issue was fixed after they used a wireless controller.
- If you are using a Xbox controller, update Xbox Accesories app.
- Also, make sure that you update your controller drivers to the latest version.
What else can be done to fix the controller issue?
There’s also a fix which is a bit confusing. But since it has helped a player, you can try this as well.
the game logic when entering a park game or other online game modes is like this “The first option that comes in the ‘Key binding’ menu is the one going to be used”, that’s it works for some people to unplug their keyboards before launching the game. In my case, in the ‘Features’ menu, when going to the ‘Key binding’ option, ‘Unified Virtual HID’ was the first to show up, before my controller and keyboard, which is part of the Unified Remote application. I uninstalled all virtual devices under “Unified Virtual HID” from Device Manager and the Unified Remote application and that fixed it. – hateehctep
So, open the Features menu > Key Binding menu and note the first option. If it is a keyboard, unplug your keyboard. If it is something else, disconnect it from your system. The first option should be your controllers. This will fix the problem.
The above fixes are all unofficial fixes, so if you are still having trouble after trying all this, please report the issue in detail to 2K support or tweet to them.
