Palia is a community simulation game where players are able to explore the world and carve out a piece for themselves to call home. The in-game world is quite different from the real world, with some magical elements to it. Magical energy in Palia is called Flow. Some of the trees in-game are infused with this energy, called Flow Trees. Their wood exhibits special characteristics that can be used in crafting or can be a direct requirement for some quests. But how exactly do you find a Flow Tree in Palia?
These trees can be easily distinguished from their regular counterparts by the fact that they glow a vibrant purple and make a humming sound. If you have already stumbled upon one while exploring out in the wild, you might have noticed that cutting it is not as straightforward as cutting a regular tree. A Flow Tree in Palia somehow has the ability to regenerate itself. So, keep reading this guide until the end to find out how to get, find, and chop the Palia Flow Tree.
Palia Flow Tree: How to get, find, & chop?
Locating Flow Trees:
Flow trees occur in all areas of the map except in your home plot, so venture out. They spawn frequently in the Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay areas, so all you need to do is explore. You can spot one pretty easily due to the distinctive purple glow at their base along with a humming sound. It also seems that Flow Trees have some favorite spots they like to grow in such as the cliff behind the two cabin campsite just outside the north entrance/exit to the Flooded Fortress, as mentioned by u/SparklyRoniPoni. Other spawn locations in Bahari Bay include the Old Lighthouse, Proudhorn Pass, Thorny Thicket, and the Statue Garden. Since Flow Trees spawn as a percentage of regular trees, the more trees you cut down, the higher the chance of getting a Flow Tree to spawn. You can also find them in groves, of which two spawn every in-game day. Groves are marked by swirling pink petals and can be spotted from afar because they are engulfed in Flow.
Chopping Flow Trees:
Once you have located a Flow Tree, you might be wondering how to cut it down. If you try cutting it down like you would a normal tree, you might notice it regenerates, which makes cutting it down by yourself problematic. First off, they require the correct axe to chop alongside at least 2 people (depending on axe type), so grab some friends.
It is pretty common in the community that whenever someone finds a Flow Tree, they announce the location in the game chat so that other players can come and help them chop it down. So when you find one, you can do the same and wait for players to come to help you. Groups can reach as many as 10 members, as nobody wants to miss out on a Flow Tree. Remember to describe the location accurately so players can find you with no issues.
And that’s how to find and chop a Flow Tree in Palia. Be careful of Muujin while chopping, as they love to inhabit these trees. If this guide seemed helpful, consider checking out Android Gram for more such content. Also read: Palia Onyx Starstone: How to get, find, & use?
