Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: How to get every starter Pokemon?
Before you venture into this exciting adventure, you will first have to complete the Regional or Sinnoh Pokedex in the game. So, you will have to capture around 150 Pokemons available in the Sinnoh Region. According to fans, it is fairly easy to complete the Sinnoh Pokedex with a little grind. Once you complete the Regional Pokedex, you can now begin the journey of collecting starter Pokemons of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn. Just head over to Professor Rowan’s Lab and talk to Professor Rowan. Professor Oak will also appear after you start the conversation and you will be told that your Pokedex has now been upgraded to National mode. This will unlock post-game content like the Grand Underground region where you can find all the starter Pokemons of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.
To unlock Grand Underground entirely, you will have to visit Eterna City. Navigate to the house next to the Pokemon center in the city and talk to the old man, who is also referred to as the Underground Man. How to get a Kanto Starter in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl?
Like Sinnoh, Kanto is the location setting for the first generation of Pokemon video games. The three starter Pokemons of the Kanto Region are Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. To find Charmander, look in the lava fire regions of the Grand Underground. To find Squirtle, you will have to visit a zone of grass and water. You are more likely to find a Squirtle in areas having both grass and water rather than areas full of just grass or water. To find Bulbasaur, you can either visit a full grass area or areas having both grass and water. Try exiting and entering the room multiple times until you find the Pokemon you are looking for.
How to get a Johto Starter in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl?
Johto is the location setting for the second generation of Pokemon video games. The three starter Pokemons of the Johto Region are Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile. To find Cyndaquil, look in the fire or lava regions of the Grand Underground. For Chikorita and Totodile, look in the grass-water areas or full grass areas. Also, try exiting and entering the room multiple times until you find the Pokemon you are looking for.
How to get a Hoenn Starter in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl?
Hoenn is the location setting for the third generation of Pokemon video games. The three starter Pokemons of the Hoenn Region are Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip. To find Torchic, look in the fire or lava regions of the Grand Underground. And, for Teecko and Mudkip, look in the grass-water or full grass areas of the Grand Underground. If you don’t find the starter Pokemon immediately, keep exiting and entering the room until you find one.
