Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: How to get Mew & Jirachi?
There was a time when trainers rarely got a chance to own a Mew and Jirachi. However, it is kind of easy to own a Mew and a Jirachi of your own in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. But, there’s a clause – you should have saved game data from two popular but old Pokemon games in the same Nintendo Switch. Keep reading to know more about how you can obtain the rarest of the Pokemons in the game.
How to get Mew in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl?
It is quite easy to get hold of a Mew in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. However, you should first make sure that you have played either Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Pokemon Let’s go Eevee using the same account. Mew is obtainable only if you have saved data from Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Pokemon Let’s go Eevee in your Switch account. If you have played either of those games before and have the required saved data, go ahead and launch the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl game. Make sure you get your first gym badge (defeat your first gym trainer) to unlock this adventure. Follow the steps below –
1) Navigate to Jubilife City.
2) Then, start heading north across Route 204.
3) You will reach Floaroma Town.
In Floaroma Town, you will find two aged people in the middle of the flower field. Now, all you have to do is interact with the woman to obtain Mew. Voila! You now have Mew in your Pokemon collection.
How to get Jirachi in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl?
For Jirachi, the process is similar. However, instead of Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee, you will need to have saved data from Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield in your Switch account. Again, remember that you should play Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl from the same account where the saved data of the older games exist – applies for both Mew and Jirachi. Once you make sure you have the saved data in your Switch account, head over to Floaroma Town as you did for Mew. However, this time you will be interacting with the old man instead of the woman. The old man will gift you Jirachi at the end of the interaction.
Note: If you haven’t played the older games (Sword, Shield, or Let’s Go), you can try “trading” a copy from your friend or a shop. You will just need to open the required game in the Switch you are playing Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on. After that, such play for a minute or two and save the progress. This will get you the required saved data you need to get Mew or Jirachi.
