But users of Powerbeats have complained about a lot of issues previously and it is still going on. Mostly people face issues where it is not turning on and the battery is not getting charged. A few have also faced an issue where one side of the Powerbeats Pro is not charging. So, here are the steps you need to take if one side of your Powerbeats Pro is not charging –
1. Clean your Powerbeats Pro
You must ensure that your Powerbeats Pro is never submerged or exposed to a continuous flow of water. You must remember that Powerbeats Pro is water resistant but not waterproof and both the things are completely different. If this happens, it can also cause a short-circuit in the device. You can also fix it by letting it dry. Using a soft microfiber cloth will wipe out the visible moisture or droplets from the device.
After that, submerge the device in a pile of dry rice and leave it there for one or two days. You can also leave your device in a dry place for one week. After that, clean the device with a soft-bristle brush that will remove the dust and wipe it with a microfiber cloth.
2. Check the source of power
You should check the power outlet where you plug in the charger. you can check the power outlet by plugging some other appliance. When you turn on the appliance, you must ensure that it works and if it doesn’t, find some other outlet that works and charge the Powerbeats from that point. Check the Powerbeats charger and see if there is any sort of defects. If there is a damage, then your charger might be defective and you might have to replace it.
You need to find someone with an authentic Powerbeats charger or same type of chargers with the correct input or output outlet and test it with the Powerbeats device to check if it still won’t charge.
3. Empty the battery
You can empty your battery to charge your Powerbeats Pro completely. Leave the Powerbeats device in a dry place for 1 or 2 weeks so that the battery gets completely drained. After that, charge it fully and try to turn it on. This might work but if the problem still exists, go for replacement.
4. Force Restart
Powerbeats Pro has an indicator which says that your earphone has not been charged successfully. For this, the best thing you can do is force restart the device.
