This goes to show that the issue has been acknowledged by the official team and is currently being worked on. However, this response was made in March 2024, and since then, the developers have been silent regarding the same. So, right now, we cannot ascertain when an official fix for this issue will be released. Until then, here are a few workarounds worth trying:
1) Restart
The first workaround is to just restart the game and then check if the issue persists. If it does, we recommend restarting your console and then trying again.
2) Check network
Since this is a network-related issue, you might want to consider restarting your router as a countermeasure in case the connectivity is indeed unreliable for the game to establish a connection to its servers. If doing so doesn’t fix the issue, try switching to a different network and then start the matchmaking.
3) Change servers
Predecessor offers players a bunch of server options to choose from. So, if you are encountering the prpf-912 error when matchmaking in a specific server, you can try switching to a different one and trying again. To change servers, head over to the game’s settings menu, and look for the Region setting. Select it, and choose a server region from the drop-down list.
Note: Switching to a server region which is far away from your actual geographical location will result in high ping. So, keep that in mind.
4) Re-queue
As stated earlier by the member of the Omeda Studios team, if you encounter this error while matchmaking, consider re-queuing. Continue doing so a couple of times, and the issue should go away.
5) Reinstall
As a final resort, consider reinstalling the game. A fresh reinstallation might be all you need to get rid of this error.
Well, for now, these are the workarounds worth trying in an attempt to fix the error prpf-912 in Predecessor. If you find this guide helpful, consider visiting Android Gram for more such interesting content on all things gaming.
