Ward 13 in Remnant 2 is a mysterious place. It’s your go-to hub for resetting progress, and there are also countless mysteries in it. Let’s not forget the feature-rich NPCs that provide you with various useful services like crafting engrams for archetype change or exchanging materials for healing items. There is just so much to do in Ward 13 itself. Facts aside, now we will try to uncover the mystery behind the infamous Ford’s Safe. So what exactly is this? Does it unlock some kind of ultra-rare weapon? Let’s see.
Multiple locked boxes are lying around not just in Ward 13, but in the entire world of Remnant 2. Eventually, you will come across this Ford’s safe that is locked. This lock can only be unlocked once the player uses the right 4-digit number combination, which we have shared in this guide.
Remnant 2: How to Unlock Fords Safe in Ward 13
So where is the code? Well, you already have the code. Yes, it’s on the flashlight that you received at the start of the game. Simply go to your inventory and start inspecting the flashlight. Now, use your mouse or controller and flip it; the code will be carved on the back of the flashlight. If you still can’t find it, don’t worry; the Code is 0415. Now remember this number, which will be used in the next step.
The Cargo Control Key
Now just use the code in Ford’s safe, and once unlocked, you will get the Cargo Control Key. Do you know what cargo is? These are the shipping containers. Well, to use the cargo control key, just head to the area where several shipping containers are placed near the World Crystal, where an NPC named Dwell is. So, from Ford’s room, head to this area, go past Dwell, and you will see several containers past some fences. Just run straight in, and soon you will see a locked door. Use the cargo control key to unlock the locked door.
The MP60-R
For the final step, just enter the room, and you will see a purple-glowing item that is calmly resting on a table. That item is the MP60-R SMG. Each bullet of this weapon deals nine points of damage, and each magazine can fire 42 rounds. This ain’t the most damage-dealing weapon, but it’s a good weapon for close-range combat. Since it’s small, your movement speed won’t be affected either. But still, we won’t recommend this as your primary weapon. Go with a more ballistic one for your main weapon and a small, quick-reloading one for your secondary weapon.
When all is said and done, the MP60-R SMG isn’t the best sidearm that you can have, but considering its prowess, it is still worth the effort. That said, now you know how to unlock the Ford’s safe in Remnant 2 using the code that we provided. If you found this guide informative, stay tuned to Android Gram for more such interesting guides.
