RuneScape Dragonwilds’ release on PC has been met with an unreal response from players. The game is #1 on Steam’s top-selling games list, surpassing Schedule I’s dominance. Well, if you are someone who likes to play games with friends and family, have fun, and chill, then RuneScape is a must-try. But wait, since you are reading this, it is obvious that you are facing an issue while playing the game’s multiplayer mode. Are you unable to play the game with your friends in RuneScape Dragonwilds? If yes, then consider reading this guide, which provides all the necessary details.
When you install RuneScape Dragonwilds on your PC and link your Steam account, you’ll be asked to link your Epic Games account, since it uses Epic Account Services Profile for multiplayer. Once you do so, you can then invite your Steam friends for multiplayer gameplay. But what if your friends appearing online on Steam are unreachable via the in-game overlays’ friends list? You aren’t the only one encountering this issue. There are multiple reports of the same. So, here’s our guide featuring a bunch of few helpful workarounds to get this issue fixed.

As of now, there is no official fix for this issue, but on the brighter side, the developers are aware of it. They have explicitly mentioned the same in the official Known Issues section of their News tab. So, expect a fix soon. In the meantime, try these workarounds:
Restart game/Steam
For starters, consider restarting the game and then Steam. Once done, launch the game and then check whether you are able to view your friend’s server in-game or are able to invite them.
Version mismatch
This issue primarily occurs when you and your friends are on different versions of the game. How’s that possible? This happens when there’s an update released for the game. If you haven’t updated the game and your friend has, then both will have different game versions, resulting in a version mismatch. This leads to the issue where you are unable to play with your friends in-game. So, make sure that you have updated the game. Also, ask your friends to do so too.
EOS section
Some players were able to fix this issue by accessing the game’s EOS section and going through it. To do this, open the game and go to Settings > Legal > EOS. Now, go through it, and then hopefully you will be able to join your friends or public servers without any issues.
For now, these are the only workarounds that are somewhat helpful in fixing this issue in RuneScape Dragonwilds. If the workarounds don’t help, then all you can do is wait for the developers to fix this issue for good. That said, we hope that you find this guide informative.
