Are you excited to play as Garcia Hotspur in his quest to rescue his girlfriend from the Lord of Demons, Fleming in the latest remaster of the 2011-released Shadows of the Damned? We sure are. The remaster titled Shadows of the Damned Hella Remastered, released 13 years after the original game, has made its way to various platforms now, including the Switch, PS4, PS5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Earlier, being a PS3 and Xbox 360 exclusive, not many players were able to get access to it. Players had to take the help of emulation to play the game on their PC, but not anymore. Now, since the game has been released on PC, it is obvious that Steam Deck, Rog Ally, and Legion Go owners will be eager to play it. If you too are interested, you should know first whether the game is playable on these devices. Well, that’s where we come in. We have shared all the details regarding the game’s compatibility with handhelds. Here’s everything you need to know.

The appeal of playing games on the go has been at an all-time-high, with many games getting the Steam Deck verified badge or Playable tag. Developers know that the on-the-go player base has been increasing rapidly and to cater to them, most games offer support for handhelds. But is the remaster supported by handhelds? Let’s find out.

Steam Deck

Developed and published by Grasshopper Manufacture, Shadows of the Damned Hella Remastered hasn’t been listed as a Playable or Verified title on Steam. This might be because Valve hasn’t tested the game out, or maybe it is not supported on the Deck. Well, no. Player reports and various gameplay videos have made it clear that Shadows of the Damned Hella Remastered does run on the Steam Deck. The Deck’s hardware, although decent, is not very capable of running modern AAA titles. But when it comes to running a remaster of the 2011-release game, it does its job perfectly. You will be able to get a constant 60 FPS experience, although minor FPS drops might occur. And, when it comes to controls, there’s no worry as the game comes with full controller support.

Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go

Well, you don’t really need to look for any videos or player reports to ascertain whether a game can be played on handhelds like the Rog Ally and Legion Go. This is because these are Windows-based mini-PCs, capable of running almost all PC games. So, if a game is released for Windows, you can play it on these handhelds. That said, you can play Shadows of the Damned Hella Remastered quite easily on these handhelds. Expect constant 60FPS gameplay with no stuttering for the most part, as the hardware in both these devices is very capable and superior to that of the Deck.

Anyway, now you know all about the compatibility details of Shadows of the Damned Hella Remastered with handhelds including the Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go. With that said, we hope that you find this article informative. If you did, consider visiting Android Gram daily for more such content.
