Fixing the app crashing, lagging, black screen, stuttering, and freezing issues on SonyLIV app using simple fixes & workarounds

Here are a few workarounds you can try. We recommend you follow these step by step and as closely as possible. You may skip or change the order depending upon your device or its status.

1.) Please ensure that your device has a working data plan. If not then ensure you connect it to a Wi-Fi network. Switch your network to another sim that has an internet connection or Wi-Fi network and see if it works. Sometimes, apps fail to load because of slow internet.

2.) If the network coverage and internet speed are fine, then clear the app cache and data on your device. Most app developers recommend clearing cache and data when facing crashing, loading, black screen, and other similar issues with an app.

3.) Close the app and go to open the Play Store; App Store if you are an Apple user. Now search for the SonyLIV app in the search bar and see if the “Update” option is available. If yes, tap on it and download the update.

4.) If the updates are not available, then tap on “Uninstall”. Tap “Agree” or “Yes” to confirm uninstalling. Once complete, go to the Play Store or App Store again and download the app again. Tap on “Install” and wait for the download to complete. Put in your credentials and log in to your app account.

5.) If the problems discussed here, that is, lagging, crashing, stuttering, freezing, etc. persist, you need to restart your device. Press and hold the Power Button until you see the “Restart” or “Reboot” option. Tap on them once they appear and wait for your device to restart. Once done, try using the app again.
