In the ongoing trend of handheld gaming, every developer wants to release games with compatibility with most handhelds. Apart from the Steam Deck, most handhelds run on Windows OS, which means they are just mini-PCs that can run almost all games. But the Steam Deck is a different case. It uses a custom-based Linux OS named SteamOS, which renders certain games unplayable due to the lack of Linux support. Anyway, the Steam Deck, along with the Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go, are some of the most popular handhelds in 2024, and this is the reason why whenever a new game is released or is scheduled for release, players get curious about its compatibility with these devices. We have stated all these because, in this article, we have shared all the details you need to know about the handheld compatibility of Sword of Convallaria. So, consider reading till the end.

Developed and to be published by XD, Sword of Convallaria is an upcoming free-to-play tactical RPG that is scheduled for release on August 1, 2024, or July 31 (PDT). Featuring the mineral-rich country of Iria, you take on the role of a leader to navigate various complex situations and decide what’s best for Iria and its people. In the game, every decision you make will unfold the story in a unique way, and evolve the town accordingly. Now, being a single-player game, it seems to be a very good addition to the list of games suitable for handheld gameplay. But does it support handhelds?

Steam Deck

Right now, the game is neither listed as Playable or Verified for the Steam Deck. As stated already, Sword of Convallaria is not yet released, which is why it hasn’t received any Deck compatibility rating from Valve. However, the game’s demo has been available to players for quite some time now. And, as per the reports of players who tried the demo, it seems that the game is indeed playable on the Steam Deck. But there lies an issue. Despite the fact that the game offers full controller support, some players mentioned that the Steam Deck’s controller inputs sometimes don’t work in-game. Well, it is possible that the developers will fix this issue before the game’s official launch, but we can never know for sure until the game is released.

Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go

Similar to the Deck, you should be able to run Sword of Convallaria on your Rog Ally and Legion Go. Since these handhelds are literally Windows systems shrunk to the size of a handheld, you don’t need to worry about compatibility issues. But when it comes to controller compatibility, it is possible that you might encounter similar issues that Deck users are encountering in the demo. However, as said already, the official release might be more compatible with controller inputs.

With that said, now you know all about the Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go support details of Sword of Convallaria. If you find this article informative, consider visiting Android Gram for more such interesting content.
