Thronefall’s recent full release has sparked the interest of many fans of action RTS tower defense games, and that’s evident by the active player numbers, crossing 2000 players as of now. For an indie title, that’s a respectable number. Developed and published by GrizzlyGames, the game is all about building and defending your kingdom from enemies. It is basically a minimalistic city-builder that offers satisfying hack-and-slash gameplay without the complexities of classic strategy games. Sounds pretty fun, right? Well, as the game’s full release has recently been released after being in early access for 1.5 years, there are players wondering whether the game will see the light of day on Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS platforms. If you too are interested in knowing the same, this is just the article you need.
Portability and comfort are the two major factors in 2024 that many gamers have been seen to give full emphasis on. We say this because the mainstream gaming scene has seen a steady rise in gaming handhelds like the Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, Lenovo Legion Go, and many more. But not everyone has a handheld device to play games on. So, what’s the next best thing that offers both portability and comfort? Well, smartphones with Android and iOS. And, how can one forget about the OG Nintendo Switch? So, is Thronefall available on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch? If not, then do the developers have plans regarding the same? Let’s find out.

Thronefall Android, iOS, & Nintendo Switch Release Date: When will it be available?
Back when the game was in early access, one player asked a question on the game’s Steam discussion forum regarding whether Thronefall would be available on Android and iOS devices, as well as the Nintendo Switch. Well, in response to this query, a developer shared the following:
Hello there Duesenantrieb!
Currently, the devs don’t have specific plans. They told me they’d look into it in the upcoming weeks, though.
I’ll do my best to let you know.
Thank you, take care!
Mind you, this was back in 2023. Now that the game is officially released, there is some good news to share. Luckily, the developers have brought the full game to the Nintendo Switch userbase, as it made its debut on Oct 11, 2024, on the Switch platform, along with Windows. But what about Android and iOS devices?
Android and iOS release?
Unfortunately, there is currently no update on this front. Since the developers have already introduced a Nintendo Switch port, we don’t think they’d be interested in bringing the game to Android and iOS, unless the game’s popularity skyrockets and there is massive demand for the same. Porting games to different platforms is already a task too massive for indie developers, which is why we believe an Android and iOS port is not a possibility in the near future. However, this is speculation from our side, so we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt.
That said, now you know all about the game’s availability on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch. If you find this guide informative, consider visiting Android Gram for more such content.
