Xfinity Flex is currently the talk of the town and there are pretty obvious reasons for it. The service is available for users who use the Xfinity internet connection. It is a multi-channel service that includes many other streaming services under its umbrella. This makes it a convenient option for many people. Hence a lot of Xfinity internet users make use of the Xfinity Flex service to have easy access to quality content.

However, in the past few days, Xfinity Flex is facing issues in playing videos on different streaming apps. Currently, Xfinity Flex is not able to launch any other apps except for Netflix and YouTube. Xfinity Flex has identified the issue and is currently working on fixing it. However, it may take some time to do so.

Meanwhile, you can keep up with the updates on the r/Comcast_Xfinity subreddit. Make sure to visit the subreddit frequently to catch up on the situation and if Xfinity managed to fix the issue. The issue may take days or weeks to get fixed. It’s really difficult to tell because it is a pretty weird problem considering that Netflix and YouTube are working just fine. But it is best to wait rather than try troubleshooting steps that may or may not work. But if you are feeling impatient and want to try fixing the apps on Xfinity Flex, here are some basic troubleshooting steps you can try.

Fixes that can help when the apps on Xfinity Flex are not working:

Restart device:

Performing a quick restart on your Xfinity Flex device shouldn’t be that difficult. A restart takes only a few seconds but is able to fix many system-generated errors. To restart the device, press the “A” button on your remote. Highlight the “Restart” tile and then press “OK” on your remote to select the option. Wait patiently as your device restarts. After restarting your Xfinity Flex device, check if the apps on it work. If not, you can try the next step in this list.

Check your internet connection:

On a different device that is connected to your home connection, try playing a video on a streaming platform. Your mobile device is the easiest device to try this on. Check if the video plays normally without any issues and recurring buffers. If the video is too jittery, there can be potential issues with your internet connection. Contact your ISP and confirm your suspicion. If your ISP confirms an issue with the connection, they will easily guide you through the steps to fix the issue.

Report the issue:

If the steps above do not help, the best thing to do would be, to report the problem. Click here to contact Xfinity support and draw more attention to the issue.
