The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK) has brought massive success to Nintendo. TOTK improves the Breath of the Wild experience by implementing new areas to explore, new game mechanics, new weapons, new recipes, new cosmetics and fashion, and a new story while maintaining the core formula that made Breath of the Wild one of the best open-world games. Collecting armor sets is one of the most satisfying feelings for a player, especially when the game rewards the player with set bonuses, taking exploration to the next level. Lately, players have set their eyes on the Charged Armor set.
Armors in Tears of the Kingdom operate as they did in Breath of the Wild. The Charged armor set consists of three pieces: a helm, body gear, and leg gear. This armor set boosts defense and also provides additional positive status effects for Link. Collecting and then equipping armor sets provides Set Bonuses. The Charged Armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom offers the following attributes:
- Charged Headdress – Defence: 3
- Charged Shirt – Defence: 3
- Charged Trousers – Defence: 3
- Set bonus: Stormy Weather Attack. This gives players a damage buff during stormy weather.
Anyway, let’s find out how you can acquire the set pieces.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Charged Armor Set Location
To acquire the Charged Armor set, one has to trigger the “Secret of the Ring Ruins” quest. You can start this quest by heading to Kakariko Village, northwest of the Necluda region. Head north of Kakariko Village past the Zonai Survey Base Team towards the Ring Ruins. Here are the coordinates to the entrance of the Ring Ruins: (1816, -0953, 0113). An NPC named Tauro should be present at the ruins entrance with his two companions. Talk to him to start the Secret of the Ring Ruins quest.
Note: If Tauro is not present or the entrance to the Ruins is blocked by fences, so make sure to progress through the main quests first.
Charged Shirt Location
Progress through the quest as you normally would until you arrive at the Skyview Tower at the Popla Foothills (0602, -2119, 0098). Launch yourself into the air and paraglide to Dracozu Lake, located southeast of the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. Here are the coordinates to Dracozu Lake: (0936, -2494, 0043). At the Lake, look for a campfire. You will find the entrance to a cavern. Here are the coordinates to the cave entrance: (0968, -2532, 0008). Enter the dungeon and talk to Tauro inside. To the left of Tauro, there is a series of steps leading to a raised platform. Climb the steps. And to the right is a treasure chest containing the Charged Shirt.
Charged Trousers Location
The Charged Trousers along with the Charged Headdress are located in the same area as the Charged Shirt. So, return to the entrance of the cave you got the Charged Shirt from, turn left, and sprint forward, hugging the wall to your left. Eventually, you will come across a wooden bridge to your right and a sharp turn in front of you where a narrow stream flows. Follow the stream while still hugging the wall to your left. After walking 10-12 footsteps, get to the other side of the stream. Now, the wall should be to your right. Hug the right wall and keep walking forward with the stream to your left until you come across another cave entrance. A few hostile mobs might aggro. Kill them if you want to. Here are the coordinates for the second cave entrance: (0987, -2680, 0007). This cave entrance is blocked by rock barriers. Use bomb flower-infused arrows to break open the cave entrance and proceed inside. The interior layout of this cave will look similar to the previous one, with the treasure chest located at the same position between two standing lamps on a raised platform. Open the chest to acquire the Charged Trousers.
Charged Headdress Location
Great! Only one more piece left to acquire the entire set. Head back to the entrance of the cave you got the Charged Trousers from. Turn right and walk forward, keeping the wall to your right and the stream to your left. You should come across a platform. Get across the raised platform and continue moving forward while keeping the wall to your right. Eventually, you should notice that the stream takes a left turn, and in front of you, are two palm trees. Head towards the two trees. If you turn left, you should be able to see the entrance of a third cave. Unlike the other two caves, this cave entrance is located on the water itself, so you will have to swim a little bit to get closer to the entrance. The coordinates to the third entrance are: (0970,-2793, 0005). This entrance is blocked by tree roots, so attacking them once with any melee weapon should grant passage. The interior once again looks similar to the previous two caves, so finding the treasure chest shouldn’t be difficult. Open the chest to acquire the Charged Headdress.
