JVC Smart TV Black Screen Issue: Fixes & Workarounds
Try the following fixes or workarounds to get rid of the black screen issue on your JVC Smart TV.
1) Restart your TV:
This is the most basic troubleshooting step you can try with any device. Simply restart your TV by switching it off from your TV remote and switching it back on. Most peeps were able to fix the black screen issue on JVC Smart TV just by restarting the TV.
2) Unplug your TV from the source and plug it back in:
If simple restarting doesn’t work, try unplugging the JVC Smart TV from the source and let it be for two minutes. Then, plug the TV back in and switch it on. The TV should show some content by now.
3) Free up the TV’s memory:
If the TV runs into a black screen even after trying the above tips, restart the TV once more to switch it on. Make sure you are in the TV mode, then go to the TV menu by pressing the menu button on your remote. Navigate to the Memory Usage option. Select it. The memory usage window will show up. You will most likely see that the TV memory is almost full. So, this is why your TV was showing a black screen when you tried opening an app or running content from one. Navigate to the Click to free up option and select it. The firmware will free up space automatically. Once done, you can exit the menu and try using Youtube again. You shouldn’t face a black screen anymore.
