Unable to use the CarPlay feature on your new iPhone 13? Many reports suggest that the CarPlay feature is bugged on iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max & iPhone 13 Mini running iOS 15. iOS users are extremely unhappy with Apple for releasing an update without testing it for bugs thoroughly. As an iOS user myself, I can understand how annoying these bugs can be. Don’t worry, as we have jotted down some working fixes for the issue.
How to fix CarPlay not working on iPhone 13?
Try the following workarounds to fix the issue with CarPlay on iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max & iPhone 13 Mini.
Turn off Equalizer
Most reports suggest that turning off EQ from the settings have gotten rid of the CarPlay issue. To turn off EQ, open Settings on your iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, or iPhone 13 Mini. Navigate to the Music menu and tap on it. Then, look for EQ under the Playback section and tap on it. Turn any EQ off if it is turned on. If the EQ is set to some option like Late Night, CarPlay will crash. If the EQ is already off, then turn it on (select some option) and then turn it off again.
Turn on Siri
If you are using voice commands for CarPlay, you should definitely set up Siri on your iPhone 13. Here’s how to –
1) First, open Settings on your iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, or iPhone 13 Mini.
2) Navigate to the Siri & Search menu and tap on it.
3) Turn on the following options: Listen for “Hey Siri”, Press Side Button for Siri, Allow Siri When Locked.
4) Now, try using CarPlay. Make sure your phone has an active internet connection for Siri to work.
Check restrictions for CarPlay
1) First, open Settings on your iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, or iPhone 13 Mini.
2) Navigate to the Screen Time menu and tap on it.
3) Then, tap on Content & Privacy Restrictions.
4) After that, tap Allowed Apps.
5) Enter your passcode to authorize.
6) Check whether CarPlay is turned off. Turn it on if disabled.
Turn off Sound Recognition
1) Open Settings on your iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, or iPhone 13 Mini.
2) Scroll down to the Accessibility menu and tap on it.
3) Look for Sound Recognition. Tap on it.
4) Now, turn off Sound Recognition.
CarPlay should work now. If none of the above works, check to see whether USB cables are in working condition or not. CarPlay should definitely work by now. iOS 15 is fairly new, and hence we can expect to see some unfavorable and annoying bugs. We hope Apple fixes the CarPlay bug so that peeps can use it without having to turn off Equalizers or perform workarounds. For more such articles, stay tuned to Androidgram!
