Charmander is among the Gen-1 starter pokemon found in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Well, to be able to encounter Charmander in the game, first, you will need to become champion by beating Cynthia and the Elite Four. You will also have to complete the National Pokedex which requires you to encounter 150 pokemon in the Sinnoh Region. And then, you have to update your Pokedex by Professor Oak in Sandgem Town. After getting access to the National Pokedex, a total of 342 Pokemon will be added for you to encounter in the game which also includes Charmander.
