Wondering when the next UFC title by EA will release? Well, you may have already come across rumors regarding the same! However, a 2022 release of UFC 5 is not confirmed yet. If you are wondering what’s up at the headquarters, EA hasn’t spoken even a single word about UFC’s next title since UFC 4’s release. However, most fans are expecting a surprise release in 2022. UFC 4, the series’ latest installement, was released in 2020. Interestingly, all UFC games have had a steady release gap of two years. UFC (the first installement) was released in 2014, followed by UFC 2 in 2016. UFC 3 was released in 2018, which actually confirms that UFC 5 will most likely release in 2022. However, we have heard nothing but pindrop silence on EA’s side. Considering the pandemic and Battlefield 2042’s major fall, EA isn’t doing perfectly well. However, other titles have been considerably successful. UFC 4 also received its last content update in November 2021, which added a new fighter, six legend versions of old fighter characters, a new vanity, and player card customizations.
Currently, UFC 4 is playable on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. If things work out, we will most likely see UFC 5 release on next-gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S). Additionally, a surprise PC release will obviously bring a smile to many anticipating fans out there! But that seems unlikely as UFC titles have never released on PC before and EA may not consider drifting from comfort zones this year.
When will UFC 5 release?
Considering all facts, we could definitely expect a 2022 release. But an early 2022 release is certainly out of the question. EA has major plans for the 2022-23 time period, including Apex Legends Mobile, Dead Space, Grid Legends and more. Although EA hasn’t suffered much in terms of finances, Battlefield 2042 has surely affected its reputation. EA’s current focus should remain on re-achieving the goodwill. And that will come from releasing well-executed titles. It is no secret that a lot of fans are patiently anticipating the release of a new UFC title. EA must address such anticipation soon.

In other news, UFC 4 was made available on PlayStation Plus as a freely-downloadable title a month back. The free-access was opened on February 1, and is scheduled to end on February 28. So, if you are a PlayStation user planning to get UFC 5 but haven’t tried out UFC 4 yet, today is your last chance to grab this opportunity! The As of now, UFC 5’s release has no confirmation whatsoever. However, it could see a late 2022 i.e, a Quarter 4 release. Probably in November/December 2022. Until then, UFC 4 is what you would want to indulge in!
