There can be various reasons why you may decide to delete your Battle.net account. Thankfully, deleting a Battle.net account isn’t much of a task. How to delete your Battle.net account:
To delete your Battle.net account, you will have to first sign in with your account on the official support page. To visit the official support page for Blizzard or battle.net, click here. Sign in with your account on this page. You can also click on “SUPPORT” at the top right corner of the home screen on the Battle.net website.
Once you are signed in on the support page, click on “Contact Support”. Now, you will see a list of all the games you own on the screen. At the very top, you will be able to see an option called, “Account, Apps, and Shop”. Select it and on the next window, click on ‘I would rather categorize the issue’. You will see a list of options that you can claim support for. Click on ‘Data Protection’. Now, select “Remove my data” if you are sure to delete your Blizzard or Battle.net account. Then click on ‘Remove my Battle.net account and game data’.
Keep following the prompts carefully to confirm the process. To confirm that the process is being initiated by the user themselves, you will receive an email with a verification code. Enter the verification code to claim a ticket for your support request. Your account will be deleted/ removed within the following 30 days. If you wish to restart your account, that can only be done in these 30 days. Once your account is permanently deleted, you won’t be able to retrieve it.

What gets removed:
It is important that you go through the data that will be lost before requesting the deletion of your account. After the deletion of your account, the following data will be removed – Name, contact information (email, phone number, etc), security details, saved payment methods. These are all the personal detail that will be removed from the Battle.net account.
Other details that will be lost are – purchase history, purchased games, codes, promotions, and in-game items, game accounts and all game progress, communications with Blizzard Customer Support, and any remaining Battle.net Balance. If you are willing to lose all of the following information, only then continue with the deletion.
