How to avoid the “Too Expensive!” warning in Minecraft:
The players need to have the required enchantment levels to repair or enchant an item. The amount of XP that the player has depends on the cost of the enchantment or the repair. The lowest XP cost on an anvil can be 1 level. And the maximum XP cost will not exceed 39 levels. This is another reason for the too expensive warning in Minecraft. This is a huge problem when a player is trying to repair equipment that took them too long to get. Imagine you have a pickaxe with fortune 3 on it and it’s about to break. Not being able to repair it is a big deal. It is not every day that the fortune 3 enchantment comes by. And there are many other rare enchantments in Minecraft that are very important.
Hence the best way to avoid hitting the XP cap on an anvil is not to use the equipment more than six times. There is no way to bypass it or prevent it other than this. When you are enchanting your armor to max out its stats, do the following –
Check the enchanted books that require the most amount of XP to apply to the piece of armor. You can easily check that by placing the book next to your armor piece on the anvil. Combine two of the most expensive books on the anvil. Now combine all the books together that need less than 5 XP levels to put on your armor. If there are some enchanted books whose XP requirement is a bit more than 5 levels, combine those books as well. This will give you three different tiers of enchanted books with all the necessary enchantments. Now add the books to your armor in descending order. This is the best way to approach enchanting using an anvil to avoid the too expensive warning in Minecraft.
