Diablo 4 Early Access was released on June 1, 2023, and the overall reception is positive. However, many bugs, errors, glitches, and mishaps have been brought to light, and the developers are trying their best to fix as many as they can before the global launch on June 6, 2023. Well, as of now, some players are not able to progress through the Act 2 main quest of the campaign in Diablo 4 as the game locks them out. So, if you are facing the same problem, consider reading till the end.
Many players in Diablo 4 have reported that they are not able to get past the Act 2: The Knife Twists Again quest. To enter the quest, you need to head over to the Untamed Thicket. Anyway, when you try to initiate the quest, the game locks you out, and you can’t progress. Players have tried to reboot their consoles and PCs, clear other dungeons, and complete other story missions, all to no avail. Well, how do you fix it then?
Diablo 4 Stuck in Campaign Mode Issue: Is there any fix yet
The issue of getting stuck in the campaign mode of Diablo 4 has been reported to occur on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation consoles. While we don’t know the actual cause of this bug, we have shared some workarounds that might solve the issue. All the methods mentioned below are temporary workarounds, so there is no guarantee they will work. However, you can try them out until the developers release a fix.
Try changing World Tiers
Many players have fixed the campaign error by changing World Tiers in the game. To change World Tier, you need to head over to the World Tier Statue in Kyovashad. Change your game difficulty to another tier and try to start the Act 2 quest in Untamed Thicket. However, some players have also reported that it doesn’t work. While we are not sure if changing World Tiers fixes the error every time, we recommend changing World Tiers multiple times (at least 6 to 7 times) and checking if the issue persists.
Dismiss all companions (for Druid and Necromancer builds only)
If you’re playing as a Druid or a Necromancer, make sure to dismiss all your companions. For Druids, you should have wolves, and for Necromancers you should have skeletons. So dismiss all of your companions by unlearning their respective talents. After unlearning the companion talents, head back to the Untamed Thicket and try to launch the quest.
Level up your Character and access the quest again
You can fix this issue by leveling up your character in the game by progressing through Act 3, and then returning back to the Untamed Thicket to start the Act 2 quest. However, when you access the Act 2 quest region in the Untamed Thicket, stand further from the entrance and rapidly tap the A button. This workaround was mentioned by a fellow player, ThyARTisMRDR, so you can give it a try.
Change Diablo 4 back to its default settings
In case the World Tier switching didn’t work, another fix that worked for a few people was to revert the game settings to their default state. To do this, head over to the Options menu in the game. From here, start resetting all the tabs to their default settings. These tabs include Graphics, Sound, Gameplay, Controls, Social, and Accessibility. After doing so, return to the game and try initiating the quest.
If the above fixes didn’t work, we recommend you wait for the developers to release an update or patch fixing the Campaign Act 2 bug in Diablo 4. If this article was helpful, consider following Android Gram for such content in the future.
