7 Days to Die Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, & Lenovo Legion Go Support details

7 Days to Die is a fun horror shooter with survival elements. What makes this game fun? Well, it is a first-person shooter with zombies. You also have survival elements like crafting, food, water, and health. Additionally, it is a multiplayer game that works well with all generations of hardware. Finally, it has the ability to run mods as well. Even the graphics have held up well with constant developer attention and regular updates to the game. Well, with the game’s increasing popularity, a common question on everyone’s mind is: Is it good enough to run on handhelds, including the Steam Deck, Rog Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go? If you are wondering the same, consider reading until the end.

This is a complex question to answer because, from the get-go, there are factors other than performance at play. The game’s performance on consoles has always been a problem. Without features like auto-aim and the mechanics of the game staying the same, there is a lot of pressure on controller players to be accurate and time their shots correctly. Apart from this, there are the obvious issues of compatibility and support on different platforms.

7 Days to Die was released as a multi-platform game. It came out on PCs and consoles at the same time and did pretty well on both. There are some reasons why many think it is easier to play this game on PC rather than on console, but one of the major reasons is the control and controller layout. While the game does support controllers and controller layouts, it does not have aim assist. Since this is foremost a shooter, you really need the extra accuracy aim-assist gives you with controllers. Without this, it becomes very hard to play the game.

Compatibility on Steam Deck, Rog Ally, and Legion Go?

Since the system requirements of the game are comparatively low and it is supported on Linux, all handheld PCs (including the Steam Deck) will be able to run this game at reasonable frames. There is no incompatibility or performance issue because of the hardware at play here. The most major hurdle comes in the way of controller input. Since most of these handhelds also support USB inputs (keyboard and mouse), it is always possible to use them here as well. This allows you to attach a basic keyboard and mouse to your handheld PC.

There are some reports of mods and DLCs being unplayable on handheld PCs but the vanilla game itself (base game) is fully playable. And if you didn’t already know, it is a Deck-verified title. So, the Steam Deck won’t have any issues running it. Also, since the Rog Ally and Legion Go support Windows, we foresee no issues with them either. All in all, you will be able to play this game on a handheld PC without any issues.

Well, that is all you need to know about 7 Days to Die’s compatibility with the Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, and the Lenovo Legion Go. If you found this article helpful and would like to read more such content, make sure to visit Android Gram.
