As per reports, the progress or shelves/items they’ve made or created in the game’s early access version have disappeared right after they updated the game. For some, the issue occurs when they try to save their progress. After every save attempt, a shelf disappears. This isn’t something that the developers want their player base to experience. You can try starting a new save and then check whether the same issue persists, but then you will risk losing all your progress you made.
