GTA V is currently available for free on the Epic Games Store. On the launch day of the game, Epic Games store saw a sudden rush in traffic & it crashed its servers & many couldn’t play the game. Once again, GTA V servers are currently down, but this time it’s not Epic Games launcher, the current issue is with the Rockstar Gamers servers.
Many players are currently unable to play the GTA V game due to technical & server issues on Rockstar Games end. Some of them took the route of Twitter to convey ongoing problems & issues.

Down Detector, an online outage reporting website also conveys that the game servers are currently going through some technical issues as an outage can be observed at many locations.
