Fixes for Adblock Plus not working on Youtube:
1) Log into your account again:
Log out of your YouTube account from your browser. Restart your computer and open your browser again. Log back into your YouTube account. This should refresh the browser settings and let the extension do its job. Now play a video and see if you are still seeing ads on YouTube. This time Adblock plus should work without any issues on your YouTube account.
2) Disable the extension temporarily:
Open the Menu on your browser. It will have the option that will allow you to manage your extensions. Select that option which will then take you to a list of all the extensions installed on your browser. Simply toggle the Adblock Plus extension off. Now close the browser and restart your device again. After restarting, open your browser and enable the extension. Now with the Adblock Plus extension enabled, check if YouTube still shows you the ads. If it does, use the next troubleshooting method.
3) Reinstall AdBlock:
The next best option to fix this would be reinstalling Adblock Plus. This means removing the extension and installing it again from scratch. Access the extensions on your browser again. Select the extension and remove it. After that, install it again. After the reinstallation, Adblock Plus should successfully stop the ads coming your way on YouTube.
4) Revise the filters:
On the top of your browser, you will see an icon representing Adblock Plus, indicating that the extension is active. Click on it and select Filters. Go through every filter that you have selected or was selected as a default option. Make sure that the extension is updating itself and that there are no loopholes through which YouTube can show you ads. Set the filters according to your preference and save the settings. This time when you open YouTube, Adblock Plus will stop all the ads that could have bothered you.
