Inventory item disappearances are a very odd issue in Ark. This is an issue that has been present in ASE, and the developers didn’t fix it. It can happen to anyone in any server setting, whether online or offline. This is the truest form of a glitch. The same issue has made its way to Ark Survival Ascended. Due to this bug, all items, or a significant number of items in your inventory, just disappear. So, is there a way to get rid of this bug? Well, you can try the following workarounds:
1). Die
If the items in your inventory are not showing up and you cannot interact with them, they are likely invisible but still present. So, head over to someplace safe and just die. This will create an inventory/death bag at your location with all the invisible items as well, and you can interact with it when you go collect it again.
2). Don’t be near slotcap
Slotcap is when all the slots in your inventory are taken. Considering your inventory size, if you are close to slotcap, then extra items that cannot be stacked have a chance of being destroyed by the game. The best way to avoid this is to not approach slotcap or store everything in a container with enough slots, like a vault.
3). Relog the area
This is something that can be done by going away from the render distance and returning. If the items are in storage boxes or cannot be interacted with in storage boxes, you might want to try this. The easiest method to do this is to fly to the skybox and then wait a minute or so before returning. This should solve the issue.
4). Reach out to the community and support
Since this issue was also present in ASE, your best bet is to wait and ask for help. Community members often list out methods (some very technical) that you can use to recover lost stuff. Apart from this, if this was something that happened on an official server, you can reach out to the official support team, and they will hopefully return the items you lost.
