ARK Survival Ascended Shastasaurus Location & How to Tame it?
Finding the Shastasaurus is no big deal. However, they are exclusive to The Center map and appear only in deep waters. So, for this, head over to the southeastern areas of the ocean (near the Blue Obelisk) of the Center and continue exploring. You can dive deep into the water or use a flying mount to scout the area. If you are flying on your mount, the Shastasaurus will do a whale flip upon sensing your presence. Once you have spotted it, it is time for some taming action.
How to tame?
Spotting and damaging the Shastasaurus won’t help you tame it, as it is not an aggro creature. For this process, you will need to get at least 3–5 tamed Ichythosaurus and bring them with you into the water body. You also need a sickle for the taming process, along with some extraordinary kibble to feed it. Once you have all that, with the group of Ichythosaurus following you, dive into the area where the Shastasaurus has spawned and go near it. Doing so will attract its attention.
Now, ascend to the top and the Shastasaurus will follow you. Once done, an animation will play out, and this will commence the taming process. You will notice that a bunch of leeches are sucking the life out of the creature. So, go near these leeches and use your sickle to kill them all. After you are done with this, swim towards the mouth of the creature and feed it extraordinary kibble. You will notice that the taming bar has filled a bit once you feed the kibble.
Now, it is all about repeating the process until the taming bar is filled. Once filled, the creature will be tamed and ready to be named.
